Today I saw some snow blown off the roof of a building I was walking by; instead of falling straight to the earth, the wind somehow caught it in such a way as to form this 15-foot-high shimmering curtain of snow that slid across in front of the windows of the building, highlighted by the sunlight. It was the kind of thing that makes you think, maybe the world is a pretty okay place after all.

A couple months ago, I was walking to the bus stop when I saw a couple of leaves caught in a little whirlwind. It traveled about twenty feet before the leaves dropped. It made me think happy thoughts of all the whirlwinds I can't see because there aren't any leaves in them. :)

I was walking down to class the other morning feeling grumpy, and the wind picked up the snow as it was falling and blew it in a little dance up past the rooftops and toward the CN tower, shining by the lake. Mirabile visu!
