The British edition of The Republic of Thieves was obviously created from the American edition by doing an indiscriminate search-and-replace operation:

"He makes up storeys, you see."

"they vanished so long ago that our ancestors didn't leave us any storeys about meeting them"

"We can smooth out our storeys on the way, but we should have our game names ready to use."


…In tangentially related news, Scott Lynch is apparently a DreamWorks character.

That must be really annoying (no spoilers, please! I'm only about halfway through Red Seas Under Red Skies.), my girlfriend noticed and wondered whether it was just that Scott Lynch couldn't spell.
