First-world problem?

Not complaining per se about the fact that I have laundry machines in my apartment, but I do have to get used to the fact that it takes roughly four times as long to wash the same amount of clothing as in my previous apartment.

Are the machines smaller?

Yes, and the dryer seems a lot less powerful. So the amount of clothing I could wash in one load in Philadelphia takes two loads here, and then each load may have to be in the dryer for nearly twice as long.
