That sounds more like a job rejection than an apartment hunt.

Job rejections don't usually come so soon after you've signed a contract, though....

Someone once told me that "there are very few criteria under which the landlord can refuse to rent" by law, but who knows how that plays into the current matter. People are telling me that I dodged a bullet not having to live in her apartment if this is what she's like, and maybe so, but still.
