I wasn't expecting to be on for the full hour! My last two radio interviews have just been 15- or 20-minute segments.

Oh wow. They must like you. :-) If you end up asked to be on NPR, or even asked to write some sort of "dialectology for normal people" book, I won't be surprised. You have exactly the right skill set to become socio's spokesman to the masses.
