Another coincidence?
Oct. 7th, 2012 09:23 amOne of the main highways serving Philadelphia is Interstate 76. It's a common urban legend that the road was numbered 76 because it serves Philadelphia, in honor of 1776, but it's not true; it's just a coincidence of how far north Philly is and where that fits into the highway numbering system.
I asume it's also a coincidence that one of the main subway lines serving the neighborhood of Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn is the J/Z, but it's still pretty amusing.
