Simultaneous intellectual exercises

When my students sat down to start their final exam this afternoon, I told them "And while you're doing that, I'm going to see how many of 102 cryptic crosswords I can solve in three hours." Turns out the answer is 25. They were pretty small crosswords, though.

Man, I wish my students were low-maintenance enough during exams that I could do that. (Except with American-style crosswords, because I just don't get cryptics.)
