So I have a job interview coming up from the University of New Hampshire! Yay!
They told me they'd prefer to interview me at the LSA conference, but would do a Skype interview if I couldn't make it to the LSA. So I spent a couple of days basically thinking about whether it would be worth, you know, $500 to travel across the country for the sake of a small improvement in my chances of making a good impression at a job interview. Eventually I decided that it was, and so last night I bought plane tickets (a 6am flight! boo!) and e-mailed UNH to tell them I'd be at the LSA after all. They said That's fine, but we've changed our minds and have decided to do all our interviews via Skype anyway.
So... I guess I'm going to the LSA now?
UPDATE: I'm not. Tickets are canceled; I decided I didn't want to deal with the 6am flight, and got my money back.
