Famous persons in sociolinguistics?

Incidentally, one of the coauthors of the paper whose abstract I mentioned in yesterday's post is a master's student in linguistics at North Carolina State by the name of "Michael J. Fox".

I really hope this guy comes to Penn to do his PhD, so that he can join the ranks of other distinguished Penn linguistics PhDs like David Bowie and Julia Roberts.

Apparently it's "Julie Roberts" according to her page and not "Julia," but "Dr. David Bowie" is made of win!

I'm fairly sure that Julie Roberts's full name is Julia, though she goes by Julie professionally.

Would be interesting to spread a puzzle into two distinct groups for a two word answer: celebrities who have academic Ph.D.s (like Brian May and Greg Graffin) and those who academic Ph.D.s who have the same name as celebrities.
