Stairway post

So the apartment has this post at the top of the stairs in the middle of the hall that's just about perfectly sized for putting small objects on—stuffed animals, spare-change jars, gazebo-shaped boxes of lotion bottles, whatever.

Uz: "If I lived in this apartment with, like, three clones of myself, I know exactly what I would leave on this post. Empty bowls of cereal that I'd finished eating from but hadn't taken down to the kitchen yet."
Me: "Why not just... take them down to the kitchen?"
Uz: "See, that's why it would only work if everyone who lived here was a clone of me."
