[livejournal.com profile] dr_whom: D., did you seriously leave a knife in the dish drainer without washing it first?
D: I... guess? I might have done something like that? I mean, I don't have any awareness of having done that.
[livejournal.com profile] dr_whom: Well, from now on don't do that. Really the only time you should be putting dishes in the drainer at all is immediately after washing them.
D: All right. I certainly didn't do it intentionally. I wasn't down there saying "What can I do to piss [livejournal.com profile] dr_whom off?"
[livejournal.com profile] dr_whom: All right. Just try and keep closer track of what you're doing with the dishes.
D: And I know I'm in general not as good as you guys are about rinsing things off thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher. Especially with peanut butter. That's one of my failings.
[livejournal.com profile] dr_whom: Sure. But I mean, the drainer is simple—you only need to put things in it if you've just washed them.
D: ...Wait, the drainer? I'm really sorry. Oh, wow.
