Apparently it's time for that meme again where you grab the closest book to you and post the fifth sentence of page 52. I'm doing it because this time I'm on my phone rather then at my desk, and so for the first time I have a different closest book.

"Disregarding him, Gwydion motioned for them all to descend the slope."

This is hard because I'm sitting directly in front of a bookcase, so I'm not entirely certain which of the many books behind me count as the closest. So I may have chosen the book incorrectly.

'But I felt a little stab inside when I said that.'

Chronicles of Prydain?

Hmm. Now is "closest" the closest to my hand, or the closest to any part of my body? Because I have a stack of books sitting next to my knee . . .

"Mother was also outstanding in her virtuous conduct, her filial devotion, and her sisterly love."

Excellent. My copy is on the shelf near the window.

I, sadly, am sitting next to the calculus textbook of the class I'm teaching.

As t1 approaches t0, the average velocities typically approach a unique number, which is the instantaneous velocity.

Oh, this one is going to help exactly nobody figure out what the book is.
