I think maybe it climbed up the cord of the alarm clock which is on top of the bookcase?

A month or so ago the mice got to the third level of the food shelves in the kitchen for the first time. I think they climbed up my new roommate's milk crates, which were too close to the shelves.

You might want to double-seal anything that's not in the fridge with plastic/zippies/tuppers. I do this for any flour, ever since the incident with the weevils.
I always thought it was strange that my grandparents had all of their cereal double bagged with rubber bands and all, until I discovered how rampant roaches are in Houston.

I'm sorry about the chocolate. :-( This is why I always keep mine in the refrigerator. (They tell you not to do that because it's a bit colder for the chocolate's ideal circumstances, but.)
