Bedroom furniture census
Jul. 13th, 2012 06:25 pmThat's right, it's time for another bedroom furniture census! Occasionally I start wondering how much of the stuff in my apartment actually belongs to me, and suspecting the answer is "not that much". Let's find out:
So, it looks like my bedroom has a higher percentage of things I actually purchased, and a lower percentage of things left behind here by former roommates, than I expected. The living room and kitchen probably have a higher abandoned-property ratio than my bedroom, though. Perhaps I'll do a census of those later.
- Nightstand. Given to me by my parents in—1998? 2003? One of those, anyway.
- Queensize mattress. Left behind in the apartment by
q10 when he moved out in 2006. - Short bookcase. Bought by me in 2003.
- Bureau. Bought by me in 2003.
- Papasan chair. Left behind by
q10 in 2006. - Tall bookcase. Bought by me in 2011.
- Two short shelf thingies. Found by me on the sidewalk in Cambridge in 2003.
- Filing cabinet. Left behind in the apartment by Uz when he moved out in 2011.
- Window air conditioner. Left behind by
q10 in 2006. - Medium bookcase. Left behind in the room by
anasai when she moved out in 2009. - Wooden chair. Found by me being thrown out by Penn during College House renovation in 2004 or 2005.
- End table. Left behind in Philadelphia by
pastwatcher when she moved away in 2009. - Desk. Bought by me in 2003.
- Desk chair. Given to me in lieu of throwing it out by former roommate JA (or DS?) in 2004 (or 2005?).
