Disappointing timing near-coincidence
Jan. 3rd, 2012 10:53 pmI just spent a few days hanging out with dozens of nerdy friends in a small town on the Atlantic Ocean, 40 miles from the nearest big city, staying up till 4am or later each night. Today was the end of the party, and so now I'm back home in Philadelphia, alone and tired.
So it's tonight, of course, that the Quadrantid Meteor Shower will appear: in the eastern sky, best viewed around 3am, in a dark place away from city lights.
Ah well?
