So, D.'s new(?) girlfriend(?) was here last night, and they had dinner, and this morning when I went down to the kitchen it was still a mess from that—pans still on the stove with food still in them, dishes on the table, the counter dirty, etc. So I tap on D.'s door and remind him that he needs to clean the kitchen, and he says he'll take care of it.

Later on, when I go down to the kitchen, I find that most of the dishes have been moved to the sink, but not loaded into the dishwasher for some reason, and the counter is still really gross, with crumbs everywhere and whatnot. (Is it useful to mention here that we've had an ant problem recently?) When D. comes home later in the afternoon (after having locked himself out of the house for like the third time this month), I mention to him that he really didn't seem to have done a very thorough job of cleaning up the kitchen, and he said "Oh, thanks for telling me—I didn't actually clean it; [my girlfriend] did it, and I guess I should have given her some guidance."

So... guy sends his girlfriend, who's never even been in the house before, to clean up his kitchen for him, and doesn't even help her or tell her what goes where? I mean, seriously?
